1 Prep Subflooring

9 Fix Bowing
To fix bowing, use a chisel to drill the subfloor and pry the board in order to straighten. Wood wedges can also be used.

10 Frame Obstructions
In order to frame base obstructions, use a miter to create the strict size board. Place the boards so the groove or tongue matches the present boards. remove tongue if touching the obstruction.

11 Form Corners
Use a jigsaw to make corner cuts. Ensure that there is an expansion gap of 3/4" along edges and 1/2" at the board's end.

12 Cut Last Row
Typically, the last row requires cutting in order to fit. After cutting, put boards in place and ensure the 3/4" expansion gap is present.

13 install Trim
Trim is then installed to cover expansion gaps. Baseboards should be nailed to walls and shoe moulding to the baseboard, not to the floor.
