VW project Early 1964 yearmodel (first registration in 1963) Car in general: According to VW birth certificate, first delivered to Finland with optional 6V battery, colour L456 Ruby Red. Car now has 12V electrics and is painted in bright orange tone apparently picked from a few years later VW (not type 1) colour chart. Being an early 64 model, this car has some leftover part from 63 models, like small front indicators closer to headlights and T-bar decklid handle without lock. I have changed the car to have clear indicator lenses up front and US spec all red lenses on the back. Suspension: very mild lowering with a adjustable 2" narroved front beam, adjustable rear plates. Stock spindles. Wheels: Stock wide 5 smoothie rims USRoyal 5.60-15 whitewall Bias-Ply wheels WWest "Lemmertz" trim rings and original VW hubcabs. Rims are powder coated black with painted frontside (2k-paint colour coded to body colour).
