Racking Inspections

The purpose of racking or rack inspections is to ensure safety and enounce safety in the work environment.

The storehouse equipment Manufacturers association (Sema) have set out a set of guide lines for this purpose.

Rack Frames 19

The Sema Guide classifies damage into the following three categories: -

· Red Risk

· Orange Risk

· Green Risk

Red Risk.

These are items which are severely damaged well beyond the limitations of the Sema Code. In such circumstances, the racking should be immediately off - Loaded and isolated from time to come use until fix work is carried out.

Orange Risk.

These items are damaged beyond the limitations of the Sema Code, but not sufficiently serious to warrant immediate Off-Load of the rack. The rack should be Off-Loaded as soon as potential but usually within 4 weeks, and should not be re-used until fix work is carried out.

Green Risk.

These are items which are damaged but are within the limitations of the Sema Code. Such items would be recorded as being still favorable for use but be identified for time to come reference and monitoring.

When inspections of racks and racking is carried out there are a number of assessments that are required, and some of these assessments will include:

· assessment of damage to uprights and bracing members

· assessment damage to beams

· Checks are made on Frames: Base Plates: Beam Levels: Floor Fixings: Column Guards and Load Notices.

All racking must display Load Notices stating allowable beam and bay loads, and any damaged components must be supplanted like for like.

The damage here is ugly, she can attack by JUMPING on you, and due to no pushback she won't back off unless you give her a free hit, hyper armor makes this frustrating as hell, and her AI is even exploitable; spam a crouch attack with enough speed and she just runs into it. Really, you couldn't just make a proper Parsee? The only good things are the sprites, which sadly are going to waste, and the Ran Yakumo and Kismue arts she comes with, the former with a rack and tearing her clothes in half, the latter with an open kimono and a rack (both are safe, and drawn in Unthinkable Natural Law portrait style). Really, this is just a bad concept. Lucy Fernandez is one of Fervicante's chars that people either love or hate. It and his other stuff have a bad reputation due to small errors in things like invincibility frames being a bit higher than they should, dodge/roll errors, and lack of damage dampener (latter being evident here). Still, the char quality is nice, she plays fluently, and On-Off's sprites are excellent. I got enjoyment from it, expect it again down the line. Also, translation of winquote below: "I know ...

Your first assault would be worth 10, your second 10 more and your third assault an additional 10, or 30 pins in all. Adding this 30 to your first frame 20, you would have a count of 50 in the second frame. You cannot mark anything yet in the third frame, because you haven't thrown the second ball - your third frame assault needs to faultless the count. Say you leave a split in the fifth frame such as Nos. 3-10. The eight pins you got on that first ball in the fifth frame added to the 10 for your third frame assault and the 10 for the fourth frame assault would give you a sub-total of 28 for the third frame or a total of 78.

Say you fail to turn the split, leaving up one of the two pins. Your fourth frame assault is worth 10 plus the whole of pins you get on the next two balls which would be nine. So you have a sub-total of 19 for the fourth frame or an ample total in that frame of 97. You made only nine pins in the fifth frame so, for that frame, you add the nine pins to your 97 and you have a fifth frame total of 106.

So I would say the first step is to use slow and controlled movements and to keep your goals in a progressive nature but in a realistic frame so you get your reps. And third if you are going to do power work in the gym make them basic power movements. I don't think Olympic lifting is a realistic action for most coaches to share. Olympic lifters do multiple sessions per week and there is a lot of technique involved. With high school athlete's I prefer to use a power pull or a high pull as opposed to dive bombing under a bar. The idea is that we do strength, hypertrophy and some power work in the gym. We do not do speed work in the gym, we do that outside, we don't as much overloading. We will not go any higher then 10% of bodyweight. You can do this with a weight vest or pull a sled. We want to turn our gains into speed and do more movement oriented tasks. I think that the best training for lateral movement is a game of pick up basketball. This will make them work harder and be more contentious when it comes to speed and agility training.

Q: How would you go about conditioning high school athletes? Start right off the bat or wait until the season is approaching?

A: It depends on who your athletes are. I would say no more than two weeks and those two weeks will be an active salvage workouts. The time for aerobic rehearsal is when you retire; if I saw a ball player running or walking they would be punished. I believe in the old school periodisation. In Jan. You are starting a strength/hypertrophy phase up until spring ball. Once spring ball comes around you will turn it into an in season maintenance phase. Once spring ball was over we would go into a impel phase until summer started. Over the summer we focused on power/speed/strength, but we did not do any running until the fourth of July. It only takes six weeks to learn the neural aspect of running for the big fellas. If it was a speed guy it would be a exiguous separate maybe go let him run track or maybe 10 weeks.
