Bed bugs are small parasitic insects. They are a coarse household pest. They hide in the numerous cracks and small places in the house. A infestation is coarse in the mattress, upholstery, carpets etc. Bed bug bites are wheel like in appearance. They cause itching, redness, allergy and rashes. • Before checking into any hotel, look up reviews of old customers on trustworthy sites on the internet. It is best to avoid going to hotels where infestation have been reported.

• When you check into a hotel, keep your luggage in the shower (provided it is dry) and check completely in likely places. These would be the headboard of the bed, the mattress and its seams, picture frames, upholstered furniture, carpeting etc. If you find any sign of a bed bug, move out. Otherwise you should keep your luggage on a high outside like a table or a luggage rack.

• Once you return home, you should put all your clothes into the laundry. If you have visited an infested area, do not put your unwashed clothes on bed or other furniture or on carpet. Use as hot water as the fabric can withstand.

• The suitcase, portfolio and purses also need to be debugged. You can vacuum them thoroughly. Since these cannot withstand cold, you can lower the climatic characteristic to beyond -5°C. But this has to be maintained for a minimum of 5 days and preferably for two weeks. The cold must reach the core of the object.

Even if you have checked your hotel room thoroughly, bugs may enter your clothes or luggage while journeys on social vehicle or from other peoples' clothes. So it is necessary to know the ways of getting rid of bedbugs.

Several bed bug pesticides and bed bug insecticides are ready in the market. Pyrethroids are the most coarse group of pesticide. This is a chemical aggregate similar in aggregate to that of pyrethrins which are obtained from the passage of chrysanthemum flowers. It is a perceive pesticide which causes numbness and death to the insects on contact. Organophosphate like Malathion was a widely used insecticide in Usa. Any way it has recently been banned due to its high toxicity.

You can select the steri-fab bed bug spray to eradicate an infestation. It contains synthetic pyrethroid in an isopropyl alcohol base. It is safe, odorless, and biodegradable and vaporizes in 15 to 20 minutes without leaving any trace. Spraying is easy and no dilution required. The steri-fab spray should be applied to all cracks and crevices of the room, on mattresses and carpets. It is a favorable way of pest control.
